I can't believe my son is almost one! His birthday is next Thursday. The year has flown by. Rob and I have both loved being parents. In fact, we love it so much we are going to add to our family in December! That is right, I am pregnant. :)
Today I tried to take some pictures of Max talking on the phone. Max picks up remotes, phones, and other toys and says "Hi!" all the time. However, when Max saw the camera he got a mischievous grin, dropped the phone and went for the camera instead.
Rob went and checked on Max during his nap the other day, and found Max sleeping in a very comfortable looking position.
I have increased the number of kids I am tutoring during the summer. As a result of having more students, I need to make more copies. It was to my great delight that I got a new copier/printer last week. Max loved the box.
Max is a fish in the water. He has absolutely no fear- which is both good and bad. He loves to swim and go to the splash park. Here he is enjoying the splash park.
Max loves to read books. I need to get a picture of him reading. He reads all day long, and brings me his favorites to read aloud. If he is reading a peek-a-boo book, he says out loud "Peek-a-boo" when he opens the flap. It is so cute.
Rob has just been made the Elders Quorum president in the ward. He had his first presidency meeting last Sunday. He is going to do a great job.

Pictures
I am so far behind, that I have almost given up on my blogging efforts. However, this is my attempt to show what our little family has been doing for the last few months.

Iguana
Fort Worth Zoo
Max and the iguana were both very curious about each other. The iguana was actually on its belly until Max came over, then it stood right up and tried to touch him! Max was just as anxious to try and touch it back. We had a great time at the zoo. We will be visiting frequently as I am now a season pass holder.

Funny Face
Max likes to play with this toy. He makes the funniest faces while trying to push down all the things.

Santa
Tonight Max met Santa at the annual Santa Party! I was worried he would be scared of him, but it turns out that he was thrilled to see Santa AND his beard! I felt bad for Santa, who lost a good number of real hairs to Max's firm grip.

Max received a really fun present from Santa- Busy Balls!
It certainly was a fun night.
